PANews reported on December 12 that according to Cointelegraph, Nature, one of the world's most cited scientific journals, introduced the DeSci protocol ResearchHub in an article on December 11. The platform pays peer reviewers the equivalent of $150 in cryptocurrency for independent review of new research papers.

Nature magazine pointed out in its article that this is also a money-making opportunity for some people, and mentioned that Pedro Paulo Gattai Gomes, a molecular biology consultant in São Paulo, said that he now earns more reviewing papers for ResearchHub than when he was a professor in an academic institution. Gomes said that he reviews 15 papers per month on average and earns $150 worth of ResearchHub ResearchCoin tokens (RSC) for each paper he reviews. He told the magazine: "It is fair to get paid to review, because in my opinion, it is very unfair to work voluntarily without a word of thanks."

CoinGecko data shows that RSC is currently trading at $1.01, with a 24-hour increase of 24.2%.
