PANews reported on November 21 that according to CoinDesk, the Aptos Ecosystem Development Organization revealed that payment company Stripe is expanding its crypto products to the Layer 1 blockchain Aptos, while stablecoin issuer Circle plans to introduce its flagship stablecoin USDC to the network.

To date, USDC has only existed on the network in the form of a bridge version. The stablecoin company will also add Aptos to its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), a tool that helps USDC transfer between different blockchains. This will help Aptos better connect with decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.

Stripe will provide cryptocurrency access services on Aptos, aiming to help merchants transfer funds between traditional payment systems and blockchain. Users will be able to convert government-issued currencies directly into USDC through Aptos-enabled cryptocurrency wallets.
