PANews reported on November 26 that Yu Xian, the founder of SlowMist, tweeted a reminder that a hacker group has recently discovered a targeted poisoning attack against the Crypto industry. The method is to impersonate VCs to send fake meeting links, guiding victims to download poisoned scripts (such as "IP_Request.scpt"), and the main targets of the attack are Mac computer users.

If you are infected, it is recommended to take the following measures immediately:

1. Asset transfer : If the computer has a wallet (private key/mnemonic phrase), transfer the assets safely and promptly;

2. Account troubleshooting : Change passwords and 2FA of important accounts (such as Telegram, X, email, trading platforms, etc.), and check whether there are any abnormal login devices;

3. Antivirus and cleanup : Use well-known antivirus software (such as AVG, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, etc.) to perform a comprehensive scan. If necessary, use multiple software to scan and kill alternately;

4. Reset the system : If you are still worried, you can back up important files, reset the computer, and scan the backup files one by one.

Security experts emphasize that when encountering such attacks, you should act quickly and not take chances, otherwise the consequences may be irreversible. Strengthening security awareness and avoiding clicking on unknown links or downloading suspicious files are the key to preventing such attacks.
