Canary Capital has filed an application with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the Hedera HBAR spot ETF, marking the first of its kind. The crypto investment firm filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC on Tuesday. According to the filing, the fund aims to "provide exposure to the value of assets native to the Hedera network." According to the filing, the Canary HBAR ETF intends to hold HBAR directly without the use of derivatives, futures or other financial instruments. Custodians and administrators are not mentioned in the S-1 filing.
