Six months after the implementation of the Virtual Asset User Protection Act, the Financial Services Commission (FSS) of South Korea is now extending its investigation into price manipulation to individual investors. Recently, an investor was suspected of price manipulation by the FSS due to frequent short-term transactions on a major exchange and was investigated. PANews reported on December 2 that Simon Kim, CEO of Hashed, South Korea's largest crypto venture capital firm, wrote that with the postponement of cryptocurrency taxation in South Korea for another two years, the long-stagnant process of institutionalization of crypto and Web3 is expected to accelerate. Opening up institutional investors to participate in cryptocurrency investment; 3. Allowing the issuance of tokens in South Korea; 4. Publishing a regulatory framework for security tokens (STOs) and real-world assets (RWAs); 5. Formulating policy guidelines for stablecoins; 6. Establishing accounting standards for the issuance, holding and investment of virtual assets; 7. Clarifying the division of custody and establishing professional custody institutions to replace the current situation where exchanges and issuers serve as custodians; 8. Allowing overseas users to access South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges; 10.
