BNB Chain releases 2024 annual report: TVL increased by 58.2% year-on-year, opBNB daily active users reached 4.7 million

PANews reported on December 23 that BNBChain released its 2024 annual report today, including the latest progress and data on ecology, technology, etc. In 2024, the BNB chain will continue to promote the multi-chain development strategy of "One BNB", namely BSC+ opBNB+ Greenfield. opBNB has achieved a breakthrough expansion capability of 4,600 TPS and 100 million Gas Limit per second, and introduced parallel EVM; the storage chain Greenfield has launched important updates such as Hulunbeier, Ural and Pawnee, and launched Greendrive, which currently supports more than 30 public data sets and improves the user interface.

In terms of ecology, the average daily active users of opBNB reached 4.7 million, and BSC reached 1.12 million. The number of BSC independent addresses increased by 17.7% to 486 million compared with last year. The total locked volume (TVL) increased by 58.2% to US$5.5 billion compared with the previous year, and the TVL of opBNB increased by 27.6% to US$19.2 million.

In terms of transaction volume, BSC's average daily transaction volume was 4 million, an increase of 2.5%; opBNB's average daily transaction volume reached 7.1 million, with fees as low as US$0.001.

Security has improved significantly, with the number of security incidents at BNBChain down 66% from last year and the amount of risk losses down 67% (from $162 million to $53 million).

Other 2024 ecosystem highlights include:

• In September, “Gas-Free Carnival” was launched to promote the application of stablecoins. Currently, BNBChain ranks third among public chains in terms of stablecoin market value.

• Invest $1 million to support various Memecoin innovations for the community and projects, including airdrops, LP support, competitions and other activities.

• MVB Season 9 is launched this month, focusing on AI First. Season 7 selected 13 projects from more than 700 applications, 5 of which received investment from Binance Labs. Season 8 selected 35 projects from more than 500 applications, and the selected projects will receive LaaS tools and service support worth up to $250,000.

• BIA (BNB Incubation Alliance) held 5 global events this year, and 12 winners received support from the Kickstart program.

• Host multiple hackathons in 2024, giving out prizes totaling over $2 million.
