PANews reported on December 14 that according to Reuters, Liquid AI, a generative artificial intelligence startup, said it had completed a $250 million early financing led by chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.) Liquid AI has developed Liquid Foundation Models (LFMs), which are said to be smaller, more efficient and suitable for enterprise use compared to traditional cloud-based products provided by OpenAI, AWS and Google Cloud. The funds will help Liquid AI scale up its infrastructure and develop customized LFMs for industries such as consumer electronics, biotechnology, telecommunications, financial services and e-commerce.
