PANews reported on December 16 that according to the Wenchang Municipal People's Court, the defendant Han used Telegram to sell citizens' personal information. One of the buyers paid USDT (virtual currency) for each piece of information at a price of 1.5 yuan. Han then converted the virtual currency into RMB through a trading platform, making an illegal profit of 770 yuan. The court sentenced Han to one year and eight months in prison and a fine of 3,000 yuan for the crime of infringing citizens' personal information.
