PANews reported on December 24 that HIVE Digital Technologies has invested $30 million to purchase and deploy NVIDIA H100 and H200 GPU clusters to support the rapidly growing demand for artificial intelligence. These high-performance computing (HPC) clusters will be deployed in Quebec, Canada, and will be powered entirely by renewable energy.

Deployment details:

H100 cluster : contains 248 GPUs, will be online by the end of 2024, and is expected to generate approximately US$15 million in revenue per year.

H200 cluster : contains 508 GPUs, is expected to be installed in the first quarter of 2025 and officially launched in the second quarter of 2025, with annual revenue expected to exceed US$20 million.
