PANews reported on March 22 that according to Reuters, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said he was "working with one of the Big Four accounting firms" to promote an audit of its reserves. Tether has issued more than $140 billion worth of cryptocurrencies pegged to the U.S. dollar. Currently, the reserves only publish quarterly reports and have not yet completed a full audit. Ardoino did not disclose which of the Big Four accounting firms, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, Deloitte and KPMG, Tether is negotiating with, and refused to disclose when the audit will be conducted.
