PANews reported on October 23 that on-chain detective ZachXBT mentioned in a comment on a tweet from SlowMist’s on-chain security tracking platform MistTrack, “I haven’t seen publicly reported figures anywhere before, but I estimate that social engineering/phishing scams impersonating Coinbase customer service support have caused users to lose around $100 million to $150 million in the past year.”
