PANews reported on April 10 that according to The Block, Spark, a sub-DAO of the Sky (formerly MakerDAO) ecosystem, has launched a new program called "Spark Rewards" to "reward user participation." The program will provide weekly token rewards to "users who take specific on-chain actions and contribute to the growth of the Spark ecosystem." The first event will be conducted in partnership with oracle provider RedStone. As part of the program, RedStone will integrate price information into Spark's existing oracle system maintained by Chronicle and Chainlink. Users participating in the "RED Season" event will provide cbBTC to the SparkLend smart contract on the Ethereum mainnet in exchange for RedStone's recently launched RED tokens. It is expected that approximately 11.5 million RED tokens, worth approximately $6 million, will be distributed during the event.
