PANews reported on November 18 that Ethereum Layer 2 network Starknet said on the X platform that the demand for Ethereum blobs is steadily increasing and has exceeded the target blob efficiency. We launched the first solution to this challenge: Starknet v0.13.3. Blob gas on Starknet has now been reduced to one-fifth of the original; it has been launched on the test network and is expected to be launched on the main network this week.
In this regard, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin commented: "Part of L2 expansion is Ethereum increasing its blob capacity. Another part is rollups becoming more data efficient. It's great to see Starknet taking on this challenge. I also hope to see more Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) rollups that can improve data efficiency."
Earlier news , Starknet plans to implement "stateless compression" and "squash-pricing" in version v0.13.3 to reduce network fees.
