PANews reported on February 20 that according to TheBlock, the Arweave-based network AR.IO is committed to providing the technical infrastructure needed to permanently store data in the cloud. The network launched its mainnet and token generation event (TGE) on Thursday. The AR.IO network supports applications that make network hosting and cloud storage permanent. It is expected that the total supply of ARIO represented by the project will be fixed at 1 billion, with an allocation ratio of: 17.08% allocated to the core team and consultants, 20.29% to support early development and infrastructure, 17.5% to early adopters, developers and user communities who have contributed to the development of the network, and 28.63% to incentivize partnerships and collaboration.
