PANews reported on January 9 that according to Cryptonews, the Layer 1 relational blockchain platform Chromia announced its priorities for the first quarter of 2025 on Wednesday, emphasizing the development of blockchain-enabled AI tools to support decentralized AI applications. According to Chromia's recent blog, the company's roadmap also includes the release of the Postchain Python client and neural interface v2.0, as well as the Mimir mainnet upgrade.
The Vector Database extension, which will be released in Q1, will enable developers to store vector embeds on Chromia’s Layer 1 blockchain, facilitating applications such as large language models and AI agents. To enhance compatibility with AI-driven tools, Chromia plans to launch the Postchain Python client, allowing Python-based machine learning applications to integrate directly with Chromia’s blockchain infrastructure. Neural Interface v2.0 is also part of the vision, providing Chromia with extended capabilities to function as a memory and record system for AI agents, further supporting decentralized AI development. Chromia’s Mimir mainnet upgrade is scheduled for the end of Q1 and is expected to expand support for blockchain AI applications and improve the platform’s decentralized solution infrastructure.
