Cronos EVM Completes Pallene Upgrade, Improving Transaction Execution Speed by 600 Times

PANews reported on December 12 that the EVM-compatible blockchain Cronos has completed the v1.4.0 Pallene upgrade, which has increased the transaction execution speed by 600 times. This upgrade introduces Block-STM technology to achieve parallel transaction processing within a single block, allowing the virtual machine to process up to 60,000 transactions per second (TPS) to meet the needs of next-generation blockchain applications.

In addition, Pallene also introduced optimistic execution through Cosmos SDK 0.50 to optimize block processing and network responsiveness, and upgraded the inter-chain communication protocol (IBC) to enhance cross-chain connectivity.
