PANews reported on January 31 that The Sandbox has officially acquired its long-term development partner, Romanian studio QED, and established The Sandbox Romania. QED was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Timisoara with a team of 17 people. It has become the 13th office of The Sandbox worldwide. Other office locations include Hong Kong, Seoul, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and Paris. Sebastien Borget, COO of The Sandbox, said that the QED team has excellent technical capabilities and will promote the upgrade of future versions of the platform. QED co-founder Ioana Verebi said that he looks forward to working with The Sandbox to create an innovative virtual world and promote the development of decentralization and blockchain technology.
