PANews reported on October 29 that according to The Block, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin responded to criticism of Layer 2 user experience by saying that "there is no need to justify the shortcomings of the current situation" when building the future. Camila Russo, founder of DeFi media platform The Defiant, recently pointed out that Ethereum's current Layer 2 experience is too complicated and difficult to use for users, especially novices. Buterin responded that cross-Layer 2 interoperability is the focus of future development. He proposed solutions such as standardized on-chain addresses, payment requests, and key storage to reduce friction in cross-chain transactions.

Buterin also emphasized that Ethereum’s “Rollup Centralization” roadmap will further improve scalability in the future, with the goal of 100,000 transactions per second for Layer 1 and Layer 2 combined to ensure Ethereum’s decentralization and robustness.
