The man used a fake offline lie to obtain the verification code of his friend's account, steal and cash in the virtual currency. He voluntarily surrendered in 2024 and is currently being prosecuted by the Huli District Procuratorate for the crime of theft. He may face more than ten years in prison and a fine.
