PANews reported on November 22 that the Web3 security team Scam Sniffer warned that the malware "Meeten" has been renamed "Meetio" and continues to attack crypto users. The malware scans the device, steals wallet data, private keys, passwords and other sensitive information, and sends the data to hackers.
Previously, users lost millions of dollars due to fake video conferencing software. Scam Sniffer recommends that users take the following protective measures: use hardware wallets, store assets offline, install security extensions, and carefully verify all software download sources. Remember "safety first" and think twice before downloading any software.
