PANews reported on November 26 that according to Cointelegraph, Maya Parbhoe, the presidential candidate of Suriname, a South American country, said that once she takes office, she will make Bitcoin a legal tender. Within the first year, she plans to gradually replace the Surinamese dollar with satoshi (the smallest unit of Bitcoin) and ensure that all salaries are paid in BTC, aiming to build a Bitcoin country that is more deeply rooted in cryptocurrency than El Salvador. Maya Parbhoe's subsequent plans also include disbanding the central bank, cutting taxes, privatizing public services, issuing national Bitcoin bonds, and promoting widespread deregulation.
