From zoos to artists to AI, the hype has finally reached Desci. As an unproven track, DeSci tokens have taken off first. What exactly is DeSci, and what novel angles of tokens are worth paying attention to?
What is DeSci?
DeSci stands for Decentralized Science. According to the Ethereum Foundation, "DeSci is a movement to build a fair public infrastructure in the field of scientific research using the Web3 stack to fund, create, review, confirm, store and disseminate scientific knowledge."
DeSci aims to leverage the advantages of blockchain technology to solve challenges in traditional scientific research, such as difficulty in raising funds, insufficient data sharing, and low research transparency, thereby accelerating scientific discovery and innovation. Current projects are mainly focused on solving financing issues, and most of them focus on the biotechnology field. RIF
RIF comes from the Pump.science platform and represents the compound rifamycin (RIF). Pump Science is a meme launch platform launched by Molecule DAO, a DeSci platform of the Solana ecosystem. RIF is traditionally known as rifampicin, which belongs to the rifamycin class of antibiotics, which are mainly used to treat different types of infections caused by a variety of bacteria. URO also comes from the Pump.science platform and stands for the compound urolithin, which extended life by 6.35% in the last round of trials. Its potential effects include promoting autophagy and improving mitochondrial function, which are important for cell health and anti-aging. By enhancing cell repair and removing damaged cell components, urolithin A may have a positive effect on the long-term survival of cells. Under laboratory conditions, if the aging or cell damage of an organism can be repaired through this mechanism, it is theoretically possible to extend the life of the organism, which is of great significance in delaying aging or improving health status.

SCIHUB
SCI-HUB belongs to the concept of scientific donation. SCI-HUB is a platform for free query and download of papers. There is some controversy at present. Supporters believe that it provides free paper download channels for scholars and students around the world, breaking the monopoly of scientific publishers and representing decentralized science. FUD people say that SCI HUB is a pirated paper site. It uses various methods to bypass the publisher's paywall and provides millions of academic papers and works without considering copyright issues, which has piracy compliance issues.
The token was not officially issued. The No. 1 0xAA purchased 22% of SCI-HUB tokens. It has announced that 20% will be donated to the SCI-HUB Foundation, ushering in a wave of increases. The highest reached 70 M, and the current market value is 52 M.
VITA
VITA belongs to DeSci DAO, which focuses on longevity research and financing, with over $5 million in financing. The main regions are concentrated in Europe, and Molecule helped it to be created. It builds a portfolio of intellectual property and data assets, which are made public and tokenized through data markets or traditional biopharmaceutical licensing and commercialization processes. VitaDAO's goals are: to quickly shorten the life cycle of funding decisions; to attract world-leading researchers by promoting open science principles; and to democratize ownership.

RSC
RSC is the native token of the ResearchHub platform, which was founded by Brian Armstrong, the founder of Coinbase. It is mainly used to incentivize users who publish high-quality content (new papers, comments, peer reviews, paper highlights, etc.) on the platform.

ATH
