PANews reported on October 28 that according to Bitcoin.com, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson revealed that after a group of developers successfully implemented the popular video game "Doom" on Cardano's Hydra L2 solution, programmers are now working on getting the Nintendo emulator to run on Hydra. Hoskinson said: "After we completed the Hydra platform version of Doom Deathmatch, our next goal is to get the Nintendo emulator to run on Hydra."
Previously, Cardano used BitcoinOS to integrate Bitcoin liquidity into its DeFi ecosystem . Reports say that adding gaming features and Bitcoin interoperability is intended to open a new chapter for the Cardano ecosystem, but whether it actually expands its scope beyond standard blockchain tasks remains to be seen.
