When introducing the Frames v2 specification at X, Romero said: "The new Frame standard will support interactive applications, on-chain transactions, and user notifications, which will drive the emergence of many new social applications."

In addition, Romero said in another post linking to the Frames v2 developer preview: "We use Mobile Wallet Protocol and Rainbow to significantly improve the reliability and speed of transactions and signed messages on mobile devices." The new Frames specification Romero emphasized will be launched on the web and mobile devices on November 27, and a more feature-rich update will be launched on December 6.
