PANews reported on November 13 that Metaplanet, a Japanese listed company, released its third-quarter financial data and the fair value of its Bitcoin holdings. Metaplanet's current Bitcoin holdings have a valuation gain of 4.27 billion yen (about 27.54 million U.S. dollars), which exceeds the company's market value at the beginning of the year. Despite the increase in the value of its Bitcoin holdings, Metaplanet reported a net loss of $2.1 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2024, an improvement from a loss of $2.7 million in the same period last year.
