PANews reported on January 9 that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced at an event in Bangalore, India, that Microsoft will invest $3 billion in India over the next two years to expand its cloud computing and artificial intelligence capabilities. Nadella said that India, as the world's most populous country, has a huge AI talent pool and is an important battlefield for the development of artificial intelligence. Microsoft also plans to provide AI training to 10 million people in India by 2030. Earlier, Nadella met with Indian Prime Minister Modi, and the two sides discussed Microsoft's expansion plans in India and the potential of AI technology.
