PANews reported on February 8 that according to Protos, Burwick Law, a law firm involved in a legal dispute with the Meme coin platform Pump Fun, revealed to the media that its lawyers have received threats of violence and have been subjected to human flesh searches and exposed personal information along with multiple plaintiffs. The law firm said: "We are aware of human flesh searches and threats of violence against one of our lawyers and the New York State Bar Association, as well as attempts to impersonate and harass our plaintiffs, including human flesh searches. We take these intimidation actions seriously and will take all available legal remedies."

In addition, Burwick Law denies creating the meme coin "DOGSHIT2" and demands that Pump Fun delist DOGSHIT2 and any other tokens impersonating the company. It claims that Pump Fun has the technical ability to do so, but chooses not to do so "despite the obvious financial and legal risks it would pose to the public."

Burwick Law has filed multiple lawsuits against Pump Fun on behalf of plaintiffs who lost funds to various meme coins, including the Haliey Welch-themed HAWK token and the squirrel-themed PNUT token.
