PANews reported on October 30 that at the SmartCon 2024 event in Hong Kong, Chainlink announced the launch of the new "Chainlink Runtime Environment" (CRE) to significantly upgrade its platform architecture. CRE's modular design enables developers to flexibly combine Chainlink's oracle functions to achieve a more efficient decentralized workflow. Developers can seamlessly connect applications on multiple chains without additional coding, expanding customized functions including financial market applications.

This upgrade enables Chainlink to support thousands of blockchains, meet the needs of financial institutions for Web3, and solve complex application scenarios such as on-chain and off-chain interactions and privacy processing. At the event, Chainlink demonstrated a variety of new features of CRE and a developer-specific SDK, aiming to achieve rapid expansion and enhance inter-chain interoperability while ensuring the security and stability of existing services.
