PANews reported on December 31 that according to CoinDesk, on Sunday, Steno Research released a report saying that Ethereum is expected to outperform Bitcoin in 2025, a prediction based on historical trends and Trump's victory in the US election. The report pointed out that Bitcoin is expected to reach a minimum price of $150,000 next year, while Ethereum's price is expected to double from $3,400 to at least $8,000.

Steno also expects the Ethereum to Bitcoin ratio to rise from the current 0.0357 to 0.06 in the next 12 months, which echoes historical price trends. The report emphasizes that altcoins will become the focus of the market, and Trump's victory in the presidential election is more favorable for altcoins than for Bitcoin. In addition, the report also predicts that Bitcoin's market share will drop from the current approximately 56.6% to around 45%.

Meanwhile, Steno noted that the total locked value (TVL) in decentralized applications is expected to reach a new high of $300 billion next year, providing further support for the rise in altcoin prices. In addition, the possible launch of a new cryptocurrency ETF in the United States also adds positive factors to the prospects of altcoins.
