PANews reported on April 2 that according to Cointelegraph, six digital economy industry associations in the UK recently jointly wrote to the office of Prime Minister Keir Starmer, calling on the government to appoint a cryptocurrency envoy and formulate a special development plan for digital assets. The letter, submitted on March 31, was directly presented to Varun Chandra, the Prime Minister's special adviser on business and investment, emphasizing that the UK urgently needs to "strengthen strategic focus" to promote investment, employment and economic growth in the crypto field.

The alliance’s members include the UK Crypto Assets Business Council, the Global Digital Finance Association, the Payments Association, the Digital Currency Governance Group, the Crypto Innovation Council and Tech UK.
