PANews reported on December 16 that according to Christine Kim, vice president of Galaxy Research, the 147th Ethereum Core Developer Consensus (ACDC) meeting focused on discussing the advancement plan of Pectra Devnet 5. The Mekong network (based on the Pectra Devnet 4 specification) is running stably, with no new issues reported. Developers suggested canceling the function of validators to modify block gas limits to avoid consensus failures, and decided to remove EIP 7742 and increase the blob count by modifying the genesis configuration, thereby simplifying the Pectra upgrade process. The team plans to complete the deployment of Pectra Devnet 5 by the end of the year and continue to optimize related EIPs and specifications.
