PANews reported on December 30 that according to official news, Open is launching the Open Virtual Machine (OVM), a high-performance computing layer protected by a trusted execution environment (TEE), aiming to redefine decentralized science (DeSci). Open is a collection of multiple entities, including the Web3 information distribution protocol RSS3, RSSHub, and other key technology modules.
In a demonstration on the Open DeSci platform, researchers analyzed the genetic similarities between SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-Tor-2 entirely on-chain, ensuring the immutability, transparency, and reproducibility of the results. By democratizing high-level computing infrastructure that previously required expensive supercomputers, OVM aims to create a more equitable environment for research in fields ranging from virology to artificial intelligence, combining the immutability of blockchain with the power of next-generation decentralized computing.
It is reported that Open accelerates the open network through information abstraction and computing abstraction, and introduces the Open Virtual Machine (OVM) into Arbitrum.
