PANews reported on February 13 that according to an OpenAI announcement, the company released a major update to the Model Spec, which defines the behavioral standards for AI models. The new version emphasizes customizability, transparency, and freedom of thought, ensuring that users can freely explore, discuss, and create while maintaining necessary safety precautions.
Updates include:
• Model instruction priority : Clarify instruction priorities for platforms, developers, and users to improve customization capabilities.
• Information authenticity : The model avoids biased guidance, encourages objective discussion, and helps users make independent decisions.
• Security boundaries : Set criteria for denying high-risk requests, such as those involving harmful behavior or privacy violations.
• Creative Commons : The specification has been released into the public domain and developers are free to use, modify and build upon it.
OpenAI said the specification will continue to evolve and welcomes community feedback.
