PANews reported on November 28 that according to The Verge, xAI, the artificial intelligence company founded by Elon Musk, plans to launch a standalone application for its Grok chatbot as early as December. Currently, Grok is only available through Musk's X platform (formerly Twitter) and requires a subscription to use. This move will allow Grok to compete directly with competitors with standalone applications such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, and Anthropic's Claude.
