PANews reported on March 27 that according to the Korean Cultural Daily, the Korean government's Public Officials Ethics Committee disclosed the changes in property in 2025. Seoul City Councilor Kim Hye-young topped the list of senior officials holding crypto assets with 1.7 billion won (about 1.27 million US dollars). She declared that she holds 16 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, and her spouse and eldest son also hold ETH, DOGE and XRP. 411 of the 2,047 public officials (about 20.1%) declared that they hold crypto assets, totaling 14.4 billion won, with an average of 35.07 million won per person.
