PANews reported on January 14 that the decentralized cloud computing market Akash Network announced its development roadmap for 2025 and beyond, planning to transform from a resource network to a service network to further realize its vision of a decentralized super cloud.

According to the roadmap, Akash will focus on improving user experience, eliminating usage barriers, increasing AKT demand to strengthen the economic system, and promoting innovation in cloud technology and open source ecology. The following are the key highlights in the roadmap:

  1. Sovereign AI Agents: Akash will be a decentralized network that supports autonomous operation of AI agents, combined with upcoming privacy features, to provide secure hosting services for AI applications.
  2. On-chain supplier incentives: An on-chain incentive mechanism will be launched in 2025 to drive supply growth and unleash network effects.
  3. Sovereign Services: Through the Managed Services Marketplace (MSM), Akash will support software service providers to generate revenue while promoting the continuous improvement of open source software and balancing the uneven value distribution of cloud service providers.
  4. Developer experience optimization: By reducing integration friction points, more developers will be attracted to integrate Akash into core products.
  5. Akash at Home: Advocates for personal AI to run on home servers to improve privacy and security while leveraging idle computing resources.
