PANews reported on April 2 that according to Hong Kong media Oriental Daily, Meme platform 9GAG co-founder Chen Zhancheng announced the official completion of the acquisition of a controlling stake in Hong Kong-listed company Haoliang Technology, and plans to change the company's name to MemeStrategy Inc. The name change is intended to more accurately reflect the company's future strategic development direction, but the proposed name change is still subject to approval by the special general meeting of shareholders.
It is reported that MemeStrategy also announced plans to include Bitcoin and other high-potential virtual assets in the company's asset allocation, and announced the latest personnel appointments of the board of directors. Chen Zhancheng will serve as chairman of the board and CEO, and several core members from 9GAG and Web3 creative studio Memeland will join the board of directors as executive directors.
