PANews reported on December 11 that Bitget plans to set up a European regional center in Lithuania. Currently, Bitget has completed the registration of cryptocurrency business in Lithuania and will prepare for compliance work under the framework of MiCA (EU Crypto Asset Market), including setting up a local office and recruiting compliance and operations teams.

“The establishment of a European regional center in Lithuania is a key step in our efforts to deepen our presence in the EU market, while supporting the development of the crypto ecosystem in the region while adhering to the highest security and compliance standards,” said Hon Ng, Chief Legal Officer of Bitget.

Bitget attaches great importance to compliance operations and has obtained licenses in major markets such as Poland, Australia and Italy. It has recently returned to the UK market to provide users with compliant encryption services. In addition, Bitget is initiating registration or license applications in more than 15 jurisdictions around the world.
