PANews reported on December 14 that according to Business Insider, Microsoft investors rejected the proposal to buy Bitcoin this week. Gracy Chen, CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange Bitget, said this was expected because most Microsoft shareholders may value the asset stability of the software giant. She explained: "Microsoft's investment in Bitcoin may mean facing additional risks, and many people invest in Microsoft because it is a predictable and good business. For shareholders who build their own diversified investment portfolios, mixing assets such as cryptocurrencies into the company's balance sheet may complicate the company's valuation and distract investors from the core business goals of buying its shares."
