PANews reported on January 6 that Bitcoin mining company Core Scientific announced its operating and production data for December 2024. Its mining output for the whole year was 6,595 Bitcoins (BTC), of which 974 BTC were produced in the fourth quarter. In December alone, self-operated mining machines mined 291 BTC and managed mining machines contributed 18 BTC. As of the end of 2024, the company operated approximately 171,000 Bitcoin mining machines in its data center, with a total computing power of 20.1 EH/s, of which self-operated mining machines accounted for 96%. In addition, the company has repeatedly reduced power consumption through grid support measures and delivered 30,985 MWh of electricity to the local grid.
