PANews reported on March 16 that according to Ledger Insights, the lending platform EquiLend confirmed that Bank of New York Mellon (BNY) has made a minority investment in it. The specific investment amount has not been disclosed. EquiLend also confirmed that BNY Mellon is one of the first users of its 1Source, a securities lending solution based on distributed ledger technology. It is reported that the 1Source platform aims to improve the transparency and efficiency of securities lending and is expected to change the traditional way of securities lending.
