PANews reported on December 3 that Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong tweeted that he had notified all cooperating law firms that if they hired personnel who had "engaged in inappropriate behavior" in the previous SEC management, Coinbase would terminate cooperation.

This statement was made in response to Milbank Law Firm's recent hiring of Gurbir S. Grewal, former SEC enforcement director. Armstrong said that trying to suppress the crypto industry while refusing to formulate clear rules is a "moral violation" and the industry should not continue to support these people's employers. He emphasized that he does not oppose these people working in other fields, but called on the crypto industry to jointly resist related employment practices to express its position.
