PANews reported on January 13 that user @0xDiyaaa shared a security incident related to the Telegram Safeguard scam, once again reminding people to raise their security awareness at the end of the year. The user clicked on a TG link disguised as a human-machine verification in the comment area of the social platform, and then executed malicious commands, which put his assets at risk. Fortunately, he had handwritten mnemonics in advance, so he was able to transfer his assets in time and wipe his computer, avoiding greater losses.

In addition, SlowMist founder Yu Xian also pointed out that the scam has been extended to Mac users. When users see a specific guide in Telegram, the clipboard may have been implanted with malicious code, and if they continue to follow the instructions, they will face serious security consequences.

Try to avoid clicking on unknown links, especially TG links in the comment area of social platforms, and back up your wallet mnemonics so that you can respond quickly to emergencies at critical moments.
