PANews reported on October 26 that a16z engineer @NoahCitron said on the X platform that Helios is becoming a multi-chain light client for Ethereum. Light clients are the basis for Ethereum expansion. The future of having thousands of Rollups does not seem far away, and the closer we get to this goal, the more important Rollup interoperability will become. Vitalik Buterin responded that this is an important step, and the subsequent steps include: Helios (or alternatives) being integrated into user wallets, L2 configuration on-chain, and L2 configuration specification state proof verification rules. Once completed, universal L1 and L2 light client verification can be obtained.
