Aleo, Provable and Google Cloud Partner to Expand Layer 1 Privacy Blockchain Network

The Aleo Network Foundation and Provable announced a partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate the development and adoption of zero-knowledge (ZK) applications in the Web3 ecosystem. Through this partnership, Aleo becomes one of the first zero-knowledge (ZK) and privacy-first Layer 1 blockchain networks to partner with Google Cloud, further solidifying its leadership in the growing ZK ecosystem.

As part of the strategic cooperation, Google Cloud will participate in the construction of the Aleo network as a block generation verification node to enhance the scalability and security of the network. In addition, Google Cloud will work with Aleo to develop innovative data set integration solutions to introduce Aleo's data into BigQuery. This integration will index Aleo's complete blockchain history and provide developers with real-time insights and analysis capabilities. Developers can easily analyze transactions, on-chain records, and other key data to gain a deeper understanding of network activity and usage, and use this data to build decentralized applications (dApps).

“Google Cloud continues to support developers in the Web3 ecosystem, helping them build applications that attract more users,” said Howard Wu, Aleo co-founder and Provable CEO. “We look forward to further collaboration with the Google Cloud Web3 team, whether it’s optimizing data integration or developing a compliant and confidential payment system on Google Cloud Platform.”

This collaboration brings important progress to the Aleo ecosystem, providing developers with tools to build scalable, secure, and privacy-focused applications. By accessing Aleo's blockchain data through BigQuery, developers can use this data to efficiently build dApps, optimize performance, ensure security, and improve user experience in the Web3 ecosystem.

Aleo's performance test results further prove Google Cloud's advantage. Data shows that Google Cloud's newly launched ARM-based Axion virtual machines (VMs) perform 10% better than AWS Graviton when running snarkVM workloads, processing more transactions at a similar cost while providing a more stable operating environment than AWS. In addition, Aleo also pointed out that Google Cloud's BigQuery, GKE, and Cloud SQL have significantly improved productivity and provided a better user experience for ZK ecosystem development, further highlighting its competitive advantage over AWS.

In addition, Web3 startups and founders based on the Aleo ecosystem can accelerate their development through the Google for Startups Cloud Program, and eligible startups can receive up to $350,000 in Google Cloud service credits . This collaboration also lays the foundation for Aleo to develop a compliant and confidential payment system on Google Cloud, aiming to solve key challenges in the current Web3 payment ecosystem.

Richard Widmann, Head of Web3 Strategy at Google Cloud, said: “As more blockchains enable developers to build compliant and confidential applications such as on-chain payments, zero-knowledge proofs are becoming an important part of the future of technology. Aleo is at the forefront of this innovation, and we are excited to work with them to bring the power of zero-knowledge proofs to decentralized application development.”

Summary of key information:

  • Aleo and Provable collaborate with Google Cloud to expand Layer 1 ZK privacy network: Aleo becomes one of the first zero-knowledge and privacy-first Layer 1 blockchain networks to integrate with Google Cloud, strengthening its leadership in the ZK ecosystem.

  • Google Cloud as Aleo Network Validator: Google Cloud will provide support as a strategic validator to help ensure the integrity and security of the network while improving the scalability of ZK applications.

  • BigQuery data integration: Google Cloud's BigQuery will host Aleo blockchain data, allowing developers to easily access on-chain data without running nodes or relying on other data providers. This convenient access supports developers in building powerful analytical tools, revealing key insights such as user behavior and transaction patterns, and providing important resources for developing privacy-preserving and data-driven applications.

  • Compliant and confidential Web3 payments: This collaboration also creates conditions for Aleo to develop a compliant and confidential payment system on Google Cloud, directly solving key problems in the current Web3 payment ecosystem.
