PANews reported on October 23 that according to ZetaChain’s official announcement, in order to enhance security and decentralization, 1.5 billion ZETA tokens have been permanently anchored to the ZetaChain native network. Although ZETA can still be transferred back to Ethereum as an ERC-20 token, the transfer limit is 600 million and the total supply remains at 2.1 billion. This move ensures that most ZETA is protected by the local network, improves overall security, and lays the foundation for upcoming cross-chain integration, which will help achieve universal application development covering multiple blockchains.
