PANews reported on December 3 that institutional cryptocurrency exchange EDX Markets announced that current Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Tony Acuña-Rohter will serve as CEO, and founder and former CEO Jamil Nazarali will become executive chairman. Acuña-Rohter has led technology and information security since joining EDX in 2022 and was formerly CTO of ErisX.

EDX is supported by Wall Street giants Fidelity, Charles Schwab and Citadel Securities, and will be officially launched in June 2023. As of this year, the platform's trading volume has exceeded US$36 billion. EDX operates in a non-custodial mode, emphasizing the integration of institutional-level trading and clearing services, and provides trading in six crypto assets including Bitcoin and Ethereum.
