ABU DHABI, UAE, Nov. 28, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) has announced its highly anticipated annual agenda, which will be held between December 9 and 12 , 2024. As the flagship event of ADGM, ADFW 2024 is one of the most anticipated financial events of the year, with ADQ as the main partner. The event will focus on the theme of " Welcome to the Capital City ", host a series of industry-influential events, and bring together heavyweight speakers and conduct strategic forums.
This is the third ADFW event, continuing the tradition of convening world-renowned financial leaders, investors, policymakers and thought leaders to discuss and analyze issues such as economy, talent, culture, environment and technology capital, highlighting Abu Dhabi's status as the "Capital Capital". The 2024 agenda includes more than 60 main and additional events and more than 350 special sessions, inviting more than 600 speakers. This event is expected to attract more than 20,000 participants from around the world, representing institutions with more than US$30 trillion in total assets under management.

Key events including the Abu Dhabi Economic Forum, Asset Abu Dhabi, RESOLVE 2024, Fintech Abu Dhabi, and the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (ADSFF) will continue to take place this year. New events for 2024 include the UBS Investment Forum, the China-UAE Investment Summit co-hosted with HSBC, the Islamic Finance Summit, the Spear Private Wealth Summit, and the Abu Dhabi Capital Markets Showcase.
Day 1: Opening Ceremony and Abu Dhabi Economic Forum
It will be held on December 9 and will be attended by members of Abu Dhabi’s leadership, heads of leading global investment and financial companies, and other distinguished guests from the financial industry.
Abu Dhabi Economic Forum is a high-level gathering of leaders to explore the status and prospects of the falconry economy. The event will bring together senior members of the Abu Dhabi government and key industry representatives from the private sector. Speakers include CEOs of Blackrock, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, Citigroup, BNY, Lunate, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Aldar. Other major side events of the day include the ADEF Private Leadership Forum, Abu Dhabi Capital Markets Forum, UBS Investor Forum and the grand ADFW dinner.
Day 2: Asset Abu Dhabi and R ESOLVE
The second day of events kicks off with Asset Abu Dhabi, co-hosted by ADCB, Mubadala and PGIM Global Asset Management. Asset allocators, asset managers, investment bankers, venture capitalists, private equity firms, family offices and other institutional investors will gather to explore insights from industry giants that manage more than $30 trillion in assets. Speakers will include Ray Dalio, Robert Smith, founder, chairman and CEO of Vista Equity Partners, Aron Landy, CEO of Brevan Howard, and Bill Huffman, CEO of Nuveen.
The day will also see the RESOLVE Forum, a collaboration with the Department of Justice, themed “Resilience”, which aims to engage in impactful dialogue with key stakeholders in the global dispute space and leaders in government, industry and academia.
Day 3: Fintech Abu Dhabi and Global Financial Regulation Summit
Fintech Abu Dhabi, the largest fintech festival in the Middle East, will focus on innovations in AI, digital security and blockchain technology. Sub-forums including Blockchain Abu Dhabi, RISK 4.0 Forum, Islamic Finance Summit and AI Abu Dhabi Forum will showcase the transformative potential of emerging technologies at the event. Key speakers including Circle founder and CEO Jeremy Allaire, Binance CEO Richard Teng and U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Commissioner Caroline Pham will delve into the future development trends of fintech.
The Global Financial Regulatory Summit will also return as a closed-door meeting, bringing together senior international regulators from the MENA region, the EU, the UK, Asia and the US to discuss the opportunities and challenges brought about by the rise of AI.
Day 4: ADSFF
Following the success of the previous edition at COP28, ADSFF will be held on the last day of ADFW, focusing on sustainable finance, impact investing and net zero commitments. The event will feature key voices such as HE Carme Artigas Brugal, Co-Chair of the United Nations Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence, Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Jonathan Dean of AXA IM and HE Majid Al Suwaidi, CEO of Alterra, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s commitment to sustainable development and green finance.
