Current status of Bitomni
Nishan (host, Bitomni community representative) : Hello everyone, I am Nishan. I am very happy to serve as the host of this conversation today. Since the launch of the test network, Bitomni has made a series of remarkable progress and attracted more and more users and partners to join. As the community continues to grow, everyone has also had many questions about Bitomni’s future development direction and strategic planning.
Therefore, today, on behalf of the community, I would like to raise some of the most concerned issues through this interview, hoping to better understand Bitomni's current situation and future plans.
First, I would like to ask you to update us on the current status of Bitomni, including some major milestones and achievements. Recently, Bitomni has made significant progress in partnerships and technological innovations in the BTC ecosystem.
Mangal (Bitomni Community Manager) : Bitomni has successfully launched the BitoBridge testnet, the first full-chain bridge based on the ICP Chain Fusion architecture and focused on BTCFi. We have integrated Ethereum, Arbitrum, StratoVM, Polygon and Sui in the testnet, and achieved more than 20,000 user interactions and 650,000 on-chain transactions in the first phase of testing.
Throughout the testnet phase, Bitomni has also established solid partnerships with multiple BTC Layer 2 projects. With the launch of the BitoBridge mainnet, these projects will receive further support. At the same time, we also plan to launch DeFi derivatives focusing on BTC. Current partners include Bitlayer, BEVM, Nubit, Botanix and Master Protocol.
We divide BitoBridge's market operations into two main focus areas:
BTC Ecosystem : We will continue to establish closer partnerships with BTC-related products, such as various BTC Layer 2 projects, Babylon's Restaking solutions, and wallets like Unisat. The BTC field is an emerging mainstream direction with great potential, and Bitomni's current progress has given us a certain first-mover advantage in this field. We will work hard to maintain and expand this advantage.
Other public chain ecosystems : As a full-chain bridge, another growth direction for BitoBridge is the integration with other public chain ecosystems. The Bitomni team won awards in the hackathons of Polkadot and Aptos. We have also been closely following the development of these ecosystems. At present, our focus is on in-depth cooperation with Sui and BaseChain, and actively looking for more high-quality partners to promote the application of BitoBridge and explore new product possibilities.
We are maintaining good communication with the SUI Foundation, and are actively strengthening contact with the SUI ecosystem to promote cooperative relations. At present, the SUI ecosystem and community will become a focus of our development.
At the same time, we have also established strategic cooperation with important partners such as Gate Wallet. Recently, the promotion activities we jointly launched with Gate Wallet and Bitlayer have added a group of new community users for us. This momentum will bring us good community growth. Through the huge user base of Gate Exchange, we will be able to further expand our user base. This is a summary of Bitomni’s recent progress and ongoing work.
Part 2
Bitomni's short-term plans
Nishan (moderator, Bitomni community representative) : Great, let's move on to the next question. Every project has its own plan, right? I would like to know Bitomni's short-term plan. What is Bitomni's short-term plan in the next few months? Can you share some key work directions and upcoming milestone activities?
Mangal (Bitomni Community Manager) : In the next few months, our main focus will be on launching the BitoBridge mainnet, which will bring a more refined product experience and attract more partners. Some of our partners have already launched the mainnet, so it doesn’t make much sense to interact with their testnets at this stage. This problem will be resolved after the BitoBridge mainnet is launched. Our goal is to launch the mainnet in November. Although there may be small delays, it will not be too long.
Another important feature we are developing is BitoRestaking, which is currently in the late stages of development and is expected to start testing in December. This feature is of great significance to the ICP community as it will further enrich ICP's DeFi products.
We will also focus on promoting Bitomni. In the coming months, we will be more active in establishing cooperation with well-known partners outside the ICP ecosystem. In fact, we have been doing this, but now we will act more actively to expand the influence of Bitomni and attract more participants.
After the BitoBridge mainnet is launched, we will quickly integrate the BTC Layer 2 project to complete our full deployment in the BTC ecosystem. At the same time, we have several key ecological expansion projects, such as the SUI just mentioned, which is already in progress and has achieved phased results, and BaseChain and BNB Chain are also in preparation. These ecosystems will bring more product partners and product experience users to Bitomni.
Regarding financing, we mainly rely on internal team resources. Although some venture capital institutions have contacted us, we prefer to cooperate with more influential investment institutions. Therefore, our next focus includes:

Bitomni's technical architecture and security
Nishan (host, Bitomni community representative) : Now let’s talk about Bitomni’s technical architecture and security. As we all know, in the blockchain field, technology and security are the key to determining the success of a project. Bitomni, as an innovative project that connects Bitcoin and multi-chain ecosystems, has its own unique technical implementation.
Mangal, can you tell us how Bitomni's technical architecture is designed? At the same time, how does the team ensure high performance while ensuring the security of the platform and protecting users' assets and data?
Mangal (Bitomni Community Manager) : Thank you, Nishan, I am very happy to have the opportunity to share Bitomni’s technical architecture and security measures with you.
Take our current core product BitoBridge as an example. This is an Omnichain Bridge that connects Bitcoin and multiple blockchain ecosystems. Our technical architecture is mainly based on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP), making full use of its technical advantages to achieve efficient and secure cross-chain operations.
In terms of technical architecture :
Canister smart contract : We developed a series of Canister smart contracts deployed on ICP using the Rust language. These contracts are responsible for handling cross-chain transaction logic, user authentication and asset management. Canister is highly scalable and secure and can efficiently handle a large number of concurrent requests.
Protocol-level Bitcoin integration : We enable direct interaction with the Bitcoin network through ICP’s Chain Key Cryptography, which means we do not need to rely on middlemen or use Wrapped Bitcoin, thus reducing potential security risks and transaction costs.
Multi-chain support : Our architecture is designed to support integration with other blockchains, such as Ethereum, Solana, etc., which allows users to seamlessly transfer Bitcoin and other assets between different blockchains, thereby expanding the application scenarios of Bitcoin.
In terms of security :
Smart Contract Security Audit : All of our smart contracts have been rigorously audited and tested, and we work with professional third-party security companies to ensure the security and reliability of the code and prevent common vulnerabilities and attacks.
Multi-signature and threshold signature : In cross-chain transactions, we use multi-signature and threshold signature mechanisms to ensure that even if a single node fails or acts maliciously, it will not affect the security of user assets. This distributed signature method significantly improves the system's ability to resist attacks.
We are always committed to providing users with an efficient, secure and reliable service. Through a carefully designed technical architecture and multi-level security measures, we can ensure that users' assets are fully protected. At the same time, we are constantly optimizing and upgrading the system to maintain our leading position in technology and security.
Part 4
As a builder of the ICP ecosystem, how do you view the current situation and future development of ICP?
Nishan (host, representative of the Bitomni community) : Mangal, Bitomni has always been one of the important builders of the ICP ecosystem. I noticed that you have gained a large number of supporters in the ICP community, as well as support from the Dfinity Foundation. Recently, you have received another grant from Dfinity. You have now successfully obtained three grants from Dfinity. At the same time, many KOLs from the ICP community have also given very high praise to Bitomni.
For many community members, they are full of expectations for the current status and future of the ICP ecosystem. As a deep participant, how do you view the current development status of the ICP ecosystem? And what are Bitomni's expectations and views on future development?

Mangal (Bitomni Community Manager) : Thank you, Nishan, this is indeed a very important topic. As one of the important builders of the ICP ecosystem, we have some deep thoughts on the current ecological status and future development.
First of all, there is no doubt that the ICP network is still one of the top public chains. Its high performance ensures the stability of carrying more dApps in the future, which provides a good environment for the long-term construction of the ecosystem. We have noticed that the ICP ecosystem is still in an early embryonic stage. We must admit a reality, that is, the current ICP ecosystem is still far behind the most talked-about ecosystems in the market, such as ETH and Solana. The question that many people are concerned about is: Does ICP have the potential to grow into a top ecosystem? My opinion is that this is entirely possible.
The continuous innovation and development of the Dfinity Foundation in the fields of AI and Chain Fusion has provided a solid foundation for the growth of the ICP ecosystem. We have been deeply involved in the ICP ecosystem for more than a year and can deeply appreciate Dfinity’s support and friendly attitude towards ecological projects. This is why more and more projects are beginning to choose ICP. This is very much like a budding stage. As time goes by, some top projects will surely emerge among the many projects, making the ICP ecosystem more well-known. I am very much looking forward to this.
At the same time, multi-chain ecological projects like Bitomni, although they started from the ICP ecology, are also developing in the multi-chain direction. At present, our community structure consists of the ICP community, the BTC community, and communities of other ecosystems, which further enables us to promote the ICP ecology to other communities. Through our development and layout in different ecosystems, Bitomni is making positive contributions to enhancing the influence and popularity of ICP.
