PANews reported on December 22 that according to The Washington Post, since October, the US think tank National Center for Public Policy Research (NCPPR) has submitted shareholder proposals asking Microsoft and Amazon to consider investing in Bitcoin, believing that this will protect these companies and their investors from inflation. The organization said that more Bitcoin proposals are in the works, and also believes that promoting the adoption of Bitcoin is in line with its "pro-freedom" agenda because cryptocurrencies are largely not controlled by the government.
Earlier on December 11, it was reported that Microsoft shareholders voted against the Bitcoin investment proposal.
